THE INTERVIEW
I am going to interview my mom about chow min on August 28. The demonstration for the food might be on the same day or maybe on Sunday the 29. Some of my questions will be :

ReplyDeleteThis is a good start for your interview. Be sure to ask follow up questions so that you can get as many specific details as possible.
For example, besides "When did you first start eating this?" Which could be answered by a year or a date...go beyond to ask about memories about the times you ate the dish...what was life like in the family at that time...etc.
Great question about noodles representing long life...Did your uncle make his own noodles, too? That's a whole art in itself :)
